     any liquid                     a very prickly cactus
     your dentist                   chalk

    It would be fun if everything smelled like something different
    when you scratched it.   
      (So:  Scratch your phone, and it smells like an apple.  
       Scratch a table, and it smells like a sofa.  Scratch
       a professor, and he or she smells like a fresh textbook.)
