    1. Look at some ads and find a private seller who wants to sell you a cheap car.
       But don't buy anything cheaper than $1000 because you'll get a broken car.

    2. Choose the seller who lives the furthest from your house. Take the commuter
       rail to his house, and look at the car.  

    3. The following day, go with a mechanic to see the car again.  Take the commuter
       rail, because you don't have a car yet.  

    4. Pay for the car.  Receive the title and keys in return.  Take the commuter rail
       back home, because you don't have insurance yet and shouldn't be driving without
       insurance.

    5. Call lots of insurance companies.  Get insurance, and have them register the car.
       If possible, choose an insurance company that is close enough that you don't 
       have to take the commuter rail to get to their office.  You're tired of taking
       the commuter rail, after all.

    6. Get a parking permit.

    7. Take the commuter rail to get to your car.  Change its license plates.  Drive the
       car to a garage, and get it serviced.  

    8. Drive home, unless you miss taking the commuter rail.
