softer-than-software:   ~~~~~~

    I predict that in the future, computers will have something that's
    even softer than software.

    It will be confusing:  similar to how Ohio is considered to be the
    mid-west, even though geographically it's absurd to say that.  

    Naming conventions are bad enough in the hands of explorers.  I can't
    imagine how computer people (including me, somewhat) would be able to
    create a name that makes even half as much sense.
