    I was on the MIT varsity women's hockey team when I was a
    freshman and sophomore.  In between periods of hockey games,
    I would eat oranges.  

    I would put the orange peels in my hockey gloves and play the
    second and third periods with them inside.  It was strange, 
    but it made my gloves smell like oranges.

    It also made my hands smell like oranges.  That was secretly
    the real reason, maybe.
