    You can eat more dried fruits than undried fruits.

    Part of the reason is that dried fruits have lost their water.
    Another part is that they are smaller, so you can eat them faster
    and eat more before getting full.  You could eat a handful of
    raisins much more easily than a bunch of grapes.

    Yet another part is that they look funny and you don't want to
    be seen eating them.
    I just ate 2 dried bananas.  They looked ugly and sketchy, so I
    had to hurry.  

    Finally, dried fruits aren't as resistant to people eating them. 
    They are older, more mature, and are more comfortable with
    being eaten.
